We started Blue Sky Dogs because we love dogs, we love the outdoors, and we love to travel. Sienna, our Golden Retriever/Chow mix, was the initial inspiration for the company. Our travel experiences with Sienna convinced us that all dog owners and their canine companions should have the opportunity to escape the hustle, bustle and pavement of everyday life to explore and enjoy scenic destinations that are little more than a car ride away - and to have that travel be worry-free, easy, enjoyable and fun. Most importantly, we want to deliver unforgettable moments between owners and their dogs, and opportunities for active escapes and exercise that canines need.

At Blue Sky Dogs, we offer Best Friends Weekends, Day Trips and Dog-Friendly Travel Planning for busy dogs owners and their best friends, and Canine Country Days for active, deserving dogs. We've also partnered with a leader in active dog gear, Ruff Wear, to offer the best in canine harnesses, leashes, flotation devices, packs, toys and more.

Blue Sky Dogs is experienced with dogs and their care, as well as comprehensively familiar with the environments and places we visit. We've been there and done that ourselves with Sienna before we'll ever take other dogs or people there. We're all about fun, and more importantly, all about safety. Everyone that works for us is trained in dog and human first aid and prepared to take action when required.

We're also strong supporters of protecting our natural environment and insuring that all deserving dogs find deserving people to love them in welcoming homes. We give a percentage of our profits back to the environmental and canine organizations we believe in.
